Located at the corner of Leviste and Rufino Streets in Salcedo Village, Makati, is Chocolate Fire, an Australian gourmet chocolate shop and cafe which uses pure Belgian Couverture Chocolate for its chocolate creations.
And if you’re one of those who believe that you can never have one too many chocolates (in a single sentence, like the one above) you will instantly like Chocolate Fire, with its smorgasbord of over 70 chocolate configurations, from truffles to mendiants, bonbons to lollipops, cookies to cakes, molded to melted, curled to dipped.
My Chocolate Fire haul as shown in the photo below consisted of milk, dark and white accented by fruits and nuts. Prices are nowhere near La Maison du Chocolat‘s, bill was around P1,200.
The taste is ok, so much better than Cacao but not likely to enthrall the chocolate epicurean. I found them a tad on the sweet side and not as rich in chocolate flavor as one would expect of artisan chocolates.
However, their cheesecake (photo below) is to die for. I would come back to Chocolate Fire whenever I can, if only for the cheesecake!
